Form and integration research

ZENTRA

Headband perception & near-ear interface

A head-worn perception layer that senses context close to the wearer and presents information without owning the whole computer.

PROPOSED DESIGN TARGET
Target mass
120–180 g
Target size
180 × 160 × 40 mm
Fit / configuration
Head circumference 53–62 cm

Approximate outer envelope; adjustable temples and rear housing included.

Weight balance, clearance and contact pressure require a fitted prototype.

SPEC v0.2 / 2026-10-08CAD + WEIGH-IN PENDING
01

The current form direction

The design direction includes adjustable temples, thicker supported sections behind the ears, cushions, a front camera position, a rear battery housing and USB-C service access. A frontal antenna band and top solar strip are research options; their RF, charging and environmental performance is not established.

02

Wearer view and remote view

ZENTRA can present a selected HALO viewpoint or a recorded space observation. Source identity, capture time, delay, orientation confidence and live-versus-recorded state remain visible. A stale frame must never look like a live feed.

03

Helmet integration

In the later VANTARA study, perception and near-ear functions must fit the qualified helmet design. VANTARA SOL protects the direct field of view while NIRVANA routes interface cues. No standalone headband is presented as a pressure helmet.
